The Alpujarra
The Alpujarra is the southern face of Sierra Nevada. White villages hanging over the gorges, irrigation channels a thousand years old and mule tracks between them. This is how an autumn day goes by here.

An ordinary day from the farmhouse
Breakfast on the terrace
Bread from the village wood-fired oven, our own oil and tomatoes from the garden. The sun reaches the terrace at half past eight.
Walk along the irrigation channel
The path along the upper irrigation channel starts at our door, flat and shaded by chestnut trees. Two hours there and back.
Lunch in the village
Plato alpujarreño, migas or garlic kid goat in the square. We leave you a list of the places we like.
Afternoon by the pool or the fire
Until October, the pool and a nap on the lounger. In November, the fireplace, a book and roast chestnuts.
Sunset and starry sky
The Contraviesa turns pink and, with no street lights nearby, you can see the Milky Way from the terrace.
