The school

We opened in 2004 on a first floor in the centre of Jaén, with one classroom and twelve students. Today we are five teachers and three classrooms, with the same small groups, because that’s how you learn to speak.

Elena Olivera Ruiz

Director. English for adults and C1

Degree in English Philology (University of Jaén) and CELTA

She founded the school in 2004. She runs the public-sector exam groups and talks to the families.

Thomas Hartley

English for teenagers and Cambridge

Degree in Linguistics (University of Leeds) and CELTA

Born in Leeds, he has lived in Jaén since 2012. He prepares the mock exams and the speaking test.

Lucía Moreno Cano

English for children

Degree in Primary Education, specialising in Foreign Languages (University of Jaén)

She teaches the youngest ones, with games, songs and lots of talking.

Claire Dumont

French

Licence en Français Langue Étrangère (Université Lumière Lyon 2)

From Lyon. She runs the French groups, from secondary-school A1 to adult B2.

Marta Quesada Liébana

German

Degree in Translation and Interpreting, German (University of Granada) and Goethe-Zertifikat C2

She lived in Munich for six years. Her students are usually adults moving abroad for work.
