In the village since 1988

Upcoming deadlines

What's coming up in the next few months

Dates that affect farming, and who each one concerns. If you're not sure whether it applies to you, give us a call and we'll check.

Added the cereal crop insurance, as the regional government is paying part of it again this year.

  1. November 2026

    Workers

Before the first day of olive picking

    Registering the olive-picking crew

If you take on people for the harvest

Registration in the Special Agricultural Scheme has to be done before they start, not the same afternoon. Give us their ID and Social Security numbers a week in advance.

  2. December 2026

    CAP

    From 1 December

Payment of the rest of the 2026 CAP begins

Everyone who made the single application

The advance came in mid-October. Now the rest of the basic payment and the eco-schemes arrive. If what you get doesn't add up, bring us the letter.

    Grants

    Winter cereal insurance

If you sow wheat, barley or oats

The regional government pays part of the premium if you take it out in time. We'll tell you what it covers and how much it costs you before you sign.

    Flat-rate tax

Last day to leave flat-rate tax for 2027

    Self-employed farmers on flat-rate tax

If you're going to buy machinery or your sales are close to the limit, switching to direct assessment might pay off. We'll look at it together before Christmas.

  3. January 2027

    Workers

    Fourth-quarter withholdings

If you've had workers or pay a self-employed professional

Form 111, October to December. With the olive harvest in the middle, it's the quarter with the most payslips of the year.

    Income tax

    During January

Cooperative certificates for your tax return

    Cooperative members

The cooperative sends you what it paid you and what it withheld. Keep it with your CAP papers: it's the first thing we'll ask you for in April.

  4. February 2027

    VAT

Until 1 February (30 January falls on a Saturday)

Quarterly VAT, annual summary and flat-rate tax payment

General VAT scheme and flat-rate tax. The special agricultural scheme doesn't file VAT

Forms 303, 390 and 131. Bring us your December invoices before 15 January and there's no rush.

In February the single application for the 2027 CAP opens. Book an appointment in January, before everyone else does.

About us

In the village since 1988

Julián Valdecañas opened the office in 1988 to handle his neighbours' farm paperwork, back when the CAP forms were still filled in by hand, in pencil.

Today his daughter Mercedes runs it, with Rafa and Toñi. Many of the people who come in are the children and grandchildren of the first clients.

There's no switchboard and no hold music. If we're not at the office, we're at a cooperative, and we'll call you back when we're back.
