Classes

Three ways to do Pilates

Three classes, always in small groups and with the same person leading them. At the assessment we tell you which one suits you; you can combine two.

Reformer

Groups of four55 minutes

The reformer is a bed with a carriage that slides on rails and springs that give more or less resistance. The springs help you when you need it and challenge you when you can do more, so the same exercise works for beginners and for people who've been doing it for years. With four machines, the instructor corrects everyone on every exercise.

Who it's for

  • Beginners who want to gain strength and mobility without impact.
  • People with back or neck pain, after the assessment. We adapt the exercises and, if needed, we talk to your doctor.
  • People who play another sport and want to work on posture and core.

Mat

Groups of six55 minutes

Pilates on a mat, with a ring, a small ball and resistance bands. It's the foundation of the method and a good complement to the reformer. The pace is calm and every exercise has a gentler version.

Who it's for

  • Those who'd rather not get on a machine or want to start gradually.
  • Older people looking for balance and mobility in everyday life.
  • Those who already do reformer and want a second session a week.

Pregnancy and postnatal

Groups of four, with a physiotherapist55 minutes

Exercises to support the changes of pregnancy and, after the birth, to gradually recover the pelvic floor and abdomen. They're taught by Inés, a physiotherapist specialising in the pelvic floor, who adapts every session to the week of pregnancy or the stage after the birth.

Who it's for

  • Pregnant women from the second trimester, with the go-ahead from their doctor or midwife.
  • Women after giving birth, from the six-week check onwards and after a pelvic floor assessment.

Before the first class we ask for the go-ahead from your doctor or midwife. If anything changes during the pregnancy, let us know and we'll review it.

Pilates is not a substitute for medical treatment. It can help you move better and with less discomfort, but everyone is different and we don't promise results.
