Pay monthly or yearly

Pay monthly websites vs one yearly price.

Updated on 3 November 2026.

A pay monthly website spreads the cost: little or nothing upfront, then £20 to £50 a month for a small site, usually with hosting and some support. Over three years that’s £720 to £1,800. A yearly price works the other way round: with neenot, €500 + VAT the first year and €200 + VAT a year after that, with every change included, sent on WhatsApp.

The 3-year maths

What a monthly plan adds up to.

Monthly prices look small because they are monthly. Multiply them by 36 before you compare. From the second year, €200 + VAT a year costs less than even a £20 a month plan, and with neenot the changes are part of the price.

Being fair

What pay monthly websites do well.

Little or nothing upfront

If cash is tight this month, a plan with no setup fee is the easiest way to get online. Many UK providers charge nothing to start.

Hosting is sorted

Hosting, the security certificate and updates are part of the monthly price, so there’s nothing technical to look after.

Many have no minimum term

Plenty of plans now run month to month, so you can stop when you like. Check the terms: not all of them do.

Before you sign

Five things to check in any pay monthly plan.

Read the small print for these

  • Minimum term: is it month to month, or 12 or 24 months?
  • Ownership: if you stop paying, do you keep the website and the domain, or does it go offline?
  • Changes: how many are included, who makes them and how long they take
  • Pages: the cheapest plans are often one page, and more pages means a dearer plan
  • Price rises: can the monthly fee go up while you’re on the plan?

The yearly alternative

How one payment a year works with neenot.

Your home page, free

Tell us about your business on WhatsApp or by email and we send you a link to your home page, already made. You only pay if you like it.

€500 + VAT for the first year

The website with every page it needs, the hosting, the domain if it’s new, and all the year’s changes. One payment, no direct debit.

Changes by WhatsApp, the same day

Message +34 623 19 17 64 or email hola@neenot.com. We send you a link with the change made, and it goes live when you reply “OK”.

€200 + VAT a year after that

No contract. If you don’t renew, you take your website with you: we give you all its files and your domain stays yours.

FAQ

Pay monthly or yearly: what people ask

Are pay monthly websites worth it?

They can be, if you need to get online with no money upfront and the plan includes the changes you’ll need. Over three years, though, a plan at £30 a month costs £1,080, so compare it with a one-off build plus hosting, or with a yearly price.

What happens to a pay monthly website if I stop paying?

It depends on the provider. With some, the website stays theirs and goes offline when you cancel, so you start again from scratch. Ask before you sign. With neenot, if you don’t renew, you take all the files of your website with you.

Can I pay neenot monthly?

No. We charge once a year: €500 + VAT the first year and €200 + VAT after that. No direct debit and no monthly bill to keep track of.

Is there a limit on changes?

No. Text, prices, opening hours, photos and new pages too, as many as you like. If one day we need a fair use policy so the service keeps working well for everyone, we’ll tell you before it applies.

Why are your prices in euros?

We’re based in Spain and charge in euros. When you pay by card, your bank converts the amount to pounds. Our prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies.

Is there a contract? What if I want to leave?

There’s no minimum term. If you don’t renew, you take your whole website with you: we give you all its files, ready to put somewhere else, and your domain stays yours. What you’ve already paid is not refunded.

No monthly fees. See your website first.
