Step by step, at your own pace
Starting therapy can feel daunting, and it's normal not to know what to say on the first call. These are the first steps, how long they take and what they cost, so you know what to expect before you come.
What starting is like
A short call
You call or message us and we call you back the same day.
We only ask what times suit you, whether you prefer in person or online, and in which language. You don't need to tell us anything else over the phone.
First session
We listen to you and see together whether and how we can help.
It's a conversation, not an exam. If we think another professional would help you more, we'll tell you and point you in the right direction.
Plan
We agree on what you want to work on, how often to come and how we'll know it's moving forward.
The plan is yours and it can change. We write it down simply so we can review it later.
Follow-up
Once a week at first, then every two or three weeks, depending on how you get on.
Every few months we stop and look at the plan with you. You decide when to finish, and you can always come back.

What the sessions are like
What you tell us stays here
Professional confidentiality, with no exceptions we haven't explained to you first. With teenagers, we agree with them what is shared with the family.
In Spanish or Basque
Irati and Ane do therapy in Basque. Ane also sees clients in English.
In person or online
Online sessions use each psychologist's video call tool; we send you the link the day before.
We work with other professionals
If needed, and always with you present, we talk to your GP, to psychiatry or to the school.
What we don't do
- We don't prescribe medication: that's a doctor's job.
- We don't write expert reports for court cases.
- We don't handle emergencies. If you're in crisis, call 112 or 024, the suicide prevention line, free and open 24 hours a day.
